0.8.8a2.0motorola_canopy-v2.0.zip Feature: Added Motorola Canopy - Access Point - Link Table data query for Subscriber Module statuses.
Tweak: Cleaned up existing templates.
0.8.7e1.0motorola_canopy-v1.0.zipOriginal release

Prerequisites

  1. Cacti 0.8.8a

Compatability

The templates have been tested against:
PMP100 AP 9.x
PMP400 AP 9.x
PMP100 SM 9.x
PMP400 SM 9.x
Canopy FSK 11.x
CMM Micro 3.x

Installation

  1. Unzip the download
  2. Via scp or other tool, copy the files “resource/snmp_queries/*.xml” into directory ”<path_cacti>/resource/snmp_queries/”
  3. Via cacti web console, click on “Import Templates” and import the file “cacti_data_query_*.xml”
  4. Add the Motorola Canopy - Access Point Data Query to an AP. The default Re-Index Method of Uptime Goes Backwards, will be fine for most people. If you require the textual OID statuses to be updated (etherLinkStatus, gpsStatus, sessionStatus, and registeredToAp) every poller pass, then it must be changed to Verify All Fields.
  5. Add the Motorola Canopy - Access Point - Link Table to an AP for Subscriber Module status. You will want to change the Re-Index Method to Index Count Changed so Cacti will reindex the device when a radio is added/removed.
  6. Add remaining Motorola Canopy data queries relevant for the device type.
  7. Click on Create Graphs for Host and add the desired graphs(s).

Optional ifOperStatus
If you desire the ability to monitor the Motorola interface Operational Status (ifOperStatus), import the template in \Optional - Traffic OperStatus\template and overwrite the \resources\snmp_queries\interface.xml file. You will also need to add this to the existing 'SNMP - Interface Statistics' Data Query (I do not because many have set up custom ones and I don't want to overwrite it).

  1. In the existing 'SNMP - Interface Statistics' Data Query, click Add in Associated Graph Templates.
  2. For the name, use: Operational Status. Select the Interface - Operation Status graph template.
  3. In the Associated Data Templates, select ifOperStatusOUT from the dropdown list. Check the box to the far right!
  4. Click Save on both screens.

Now when you're in the 'Create Graphs for this Host' screen, you will have an additional dropdown for the 'SNMP - Interface Statistics' Data Query titled Operational Status. Select it and click Create.
